Activity 2:

Assume you have to work on a design for an online student registration system.

Apply the modularization principle to decompose the system into possible fine grid of modules, and answer the following questions:

  1. What are the possible modules that you suggest?
  2. Discuss the principle of abstraction in relation with modularization for the modules you suggested? (i.e. data abstraction, functional abstraction)
  3. Discuss encapsulation options for one of the suggested modules.
  4. Discuss the concept of coupling for two suggested modules.
  5. Discuss the concept of cohesion for two suggested modules.
  6. Describe the benefits and drawbacks of using a modular architecture in a software project.
